It was 19 years ago on a very rainy Friday night...

That the most beautiful woman I had ever met said, "I do." and became my wife.

The love of my life.

I do believe that...

the flowering trees are as beautiful here in the Hoosier state as I have ever seen.
The dogwoods and redbud's are spectacular this year.

Perhaps its the cool nights and warm days? Maybe it was the liberal amount of manure spread over the state in April.

What are...

The Two Things in your field?

The Story of the Two Things

A few years ago, I was chatting with a stranger in a bar. When I told him I was an economist, he said, “Ah. So… what are the Two Things about economics?”

“Huh?” I cleverly replied.

“You know, the Two Things. For every subject, there are really only two things you really need to know. Everything else is the application of those two things, or just not important.”

“Oh,” I said. “Okay, here are the Two Things about economics. One: Incentives matter. Two: There’s no such thing as a free lunch.”

I've always said that the Two Things about Architecture are:
1. This profession is not rocket science; if it were any easier you could teach monkeys to do it.
2. It is complex however& it isn't getting any easier.

What about you?

My ears are still ringing.

Cooley

The place was rockin, the crowd was pumped (although the amount of grain based fuel certainly had much to do with it) and a good time was had by all.
