The Tiger's Eye: a deep misgiving

a deep misgiving

I fear our nation has made a grave mistake.

I have been wrong in my life before and will be again but this I fear, that by electing a man seemingly amoral beyond anyone's imagining we may call down ruin upon our heads. The one issue that never gained steam in this campaign is the one that may ultimately hang us by the blackness it casts upon our hearts & souls. The forces of death in this country have never had an ally like Obama. Over 43 million deaths since Roe v Wade became law; that's the entire population of New York State, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

If his allies are given a head of emotion to run with it will become a self-consuming hatred of all things good. We will see a division in this land like we have never seen in over 100 years.

That said, I suppose I should be gracious and add my congratulations to President-elect Obama. I learned in sports to congratulate the winner no matter what. Its the effort that you honor not the defeat. I disagree with the man in so many ways but his party ran a dammed effective campaign. There were many, many mistakes made by my party and in the end Senator McCain was a patriot in defeat. As someone else said, "County first!" Well done President -elect Obama. Good luck.

Sorry about the depressing post, I am in deep physical and spiritual pain. Aside from the obvious, a reoccuring old sports injury has been acting up for the last two weeks and the result is that I may have to have "Peyton Manning" surgery on my right knee. I am hobbling around like an old man. If you want to spare a prayer for Queen Tiger, she is the one who has to put up with grumpy me.

I am suspending posting for a while.
